PARTNERSHIP WITH THE INSTITUTE OF BUSINESS CONTINUITY OF SOUTHERN AFRICA
DMISA is committed to supporting its members in the development of their careers and in further building the Disaster Management discipline. There are several disciplines that are closely aligned to Disaster Management which should be understood by Disaster Management officials in order for them to grow and excel. Business Continuity Management is one such discipline. DMISA has been exploring the possibility of partnering with professional organisations from related discplines and one such organisation is the Institute of Business Continuity of Southern Africa. As a first step in developing the partnership, Dr David Smith from IBCM has generously provided a paper on organisational resilience and business continuity as a resource for DMISA members.
