Legislation
As the mouthpiece for the Disaster Management profession in Southern Africa, DMISA has been active in the legislative and policy processes for Disaster Management in the region. DMISA has facilitated comments and inputs from its members and stakeholders into processes and has made submissions to legislative and executive authorities regarding legal and policy issues. DMISA has consistently brought the view of the disaster management practitioner to the policy table and has received recognition for its constructive and meaningful role in policy anlysis and formulation.
