Training and Education News - Subject expert in Disaster Management sought by educational institution
Lyceum College have a specific need to get a suitably qualified member DMISA on board their team of academics as an external subject expert / examiner / and moderator for the subjects Disaster Management 1, 2 and 3 on a contractual basis.
A profile of the person they would like to appoint as external expert/ examiner and moderator briefly is as follows;
- Minimum academic qualification: BA degree or higher, preferably in disaster or safety management;
- Knowledgeable regarding SA legislation that deals with disaster management, physical risk and safety management, mine safety as well as occupational health and safety;
- At least eight years experience in disaster and safety management;
- Completion of assessor course – an advantage;
- Previous lecturing and/or study material design and drafting experience – an advantage;
- Membership of DMISA or an international disaster management institute;
- Knowledgeable regarding the status of, and needs regarding disaster and safety management in RSA.
